HOW AND WHERE TO APPLY BLUSH
As a general rule of thumb, blush is applied to the cheek and cheekbones where your face would naturally flush. But, if you want to be a pro about it, you can apply blush to different areas of your face depending on what you’re looking to achieve.
If you’re going for an au-natural look, apply your blush to the apples of your cheeks and blend upwards toward the temples and ears. You won’t want to build too much, either. Just a bit of blush with high-performance pigment will accomplish the natural look you’re going for.
You can use blush to lift your face and make it look more oval-shaped, if you know what you’re doing. For this look, you’ll want to apply the blush only to the back of your cheekbones and then sweep it upward toward your temples.
Blush can also be used to shorten your face. To do that, apply blush to the center of the apples of your cheeks and outward. Move toward your eyes but don’t blend too far toward the temples, because that’s going to create an elongated effect.
For a sun-kissed glow, apply the blush underneath your eyes, across the bridge of your nose and back towards the ear. In terms of color here, you’ll want to consider what color you turn when you tan (so peach may not be the answer here).
CREAM BLUSH VS LIQUID BLUSH VS POWDER BLUSH

They also go on smoothly and don’t get caught in cracks or end up looking cakey. They’re also great if you like long-wear makeup because they tend to bind to the skin better and stay in place longer than powders.
Powder blushes are the only way we used to know blush. Most come in compacts and they’re applied with a fluffy round or angled brush. There are also loose powder blushes (which are a bit more difficult to use because it’s easy to put too much or too little onto your brush).
Powder blushes are a good choice for people with oily skin, because the powder tends to absorb oil and moisture and make the skin appear less greasy. If you want more of a shimmer with your brush, powders are the way to go, as cream blushes tend to dry more matte.
